The Portland Area Council (PAC) is one of ten state councils within Oregon. PAC contains 8 Portland area clubs that meet monthly to exchange ideas that supports our clubs within our council.

The purpose of the Portland Area Council is to promote square dancing, round dancing, clogging and associated activities. To foster a spirit of friendship, fun and recreation; to further the common good and general welfare of the people of its communities and to bring about civic betterment and social improvements in education, promotion and encouragement of square dancing and its related activities, without regard to race, creed, sex, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, or religion.
PAC hosts 5th Friday dances, may join with other state councils for multi-council dances, may conduct festivals, institutes and other organizational meetings as become necessary.
